my new favorite diet!
Posted on: 1/3/08 at 11:04 am
Well i just started my "Go Lean" diet and i have to say i really like it.

here is why...

*i love chicken and i have to eat a lot of it on this (skinless)
*studies have shown lean diets can definitely increase your life span (yay)
*at the end of the first week...i just feel cleaner and healthier since i have hardly any grease or fats in my system!
*combining it with my workout program i can already see a difference in my stomach and legs/thighs/booty!!
*i love vegetable too so that makes this diet a little easier for me.

what diet are some of you currently on?

Well I've been on a "Eat whatever I want" diet for a while now lol

Actually I've always been a pretty healthy eater if I want a snack it's usually something like fruit, almonds or pistachios, I always grill instead of fry whenever possible, I always eat my veggies. I go to the gym regularly, 3-4 days a week.

Although, my workout goals have shifted somewhat over the past few months, originally I was going just to tone up and add difinition, now I'm looking to put on a lil weight. Me and some friends started getting together playing football every week and while I can outrun most everyone on the field, if I get caught, I'm a dead man lol so I'm gonna bulk up a little. Been suplementing with some creatine lately, the stuff works, just gotta keep up the workout routine otherwise I'd gain the wrong kind of weight =P haha

haha yea dont wanna gain the wrong kind of weight!

dieting is funny sometimes...b/c there is fat you can get away with eating and fat you cant ...same goes for carbs, there is both good and bad!

another thing that is different on this new diet of mine is i am eating like every 2-3 hours (5-6 times a day) but with smaller portions...i can tell a difference in my metabolism already!

Yeah I did that kind of diet for a while, eating 5-6 times a day. I'd take peanut butter and honey sandwiches to work all the time to eat at different times of the day, because the honey would satisfy the sweet craving, while the peanuts packed protein.

I suscribe to Mens Health magazine and go to the website to find new recipes all the time. You should check out http://www.womenshealthmag.com/ if you're looking for suggestions on recipe's or just new fitness ideas.

South beach and exercise. South beach is through 3 phases:
1st phase no carbs and any protein you want,
2nd phase only vegetable carbs and some beans and any protein you want,
3rd phase is where you are supposed to be when you want to maintain weight but I'm not there yet. Still have another 10 pounds to go so i guess at the rate im going probably another 2 to 3 years :(

I lost 10 pounds in 2 years (from 150 to 140) while my ex in the same amount of time lost 70 pounds from (240 to 170) then he dumped me. Men have it so easy!

I am going to try to eat about every 3 hours or so. I have heard that thats the way a lot of celebrities stay in shape also! Right now I only eat 3 meals. I work for a marketing company that is promoting the new Snapple Antioxidant Waters. They are so good and everyone in my office drinks them so they are always around. I have started drinking them with my meals and during the day and they are totally thirst quenching. Its almost a miracle that I found a drink that I like better than orange soda and root beer!

Cook-Your-Own-Food-Diet. I love cooking and I always cook from scratch. That way I know that it's all healthy and I can eat as much as I want.
Other then that: I HATE DIETING! It's such a torture! I love eating food way too much!
