Time for a quickie with… Sunisa Kim

Sunisa Kim: a virgo, who enjoys Sex in The City and anything lavender. Her favourite food is “anything spicy”; her fave movie, Braveheart, and she hates guys without clean shoes.

In her spare time, you’ll find her on the track, the field, or in the gym, doing “basically doing anything that makes me sweat.”


Time out with… Sunisa Kim

As one of eight children, Sunisa Kim knows how to fight for what she thinks should be coming her way. Her family hailing from Thailand and Cambodia, Kim grew up in two worlds; one built around traditional Eastern values, the other that of modern-day LA, a world “dictated modern methods to achieve modern success.”

And success she has indeed found. She has graced the runway for both boutique fashion labels and bridal designers, and has modelled on the auto scene, representing companies like Honda and Nissan at international trade shows and events. In 2004, Sunisa was contracted as one of the first spokesmodels for Yokohama Tires, cementing her place as the unofficial Drift Queen at Hot Import Nights.

Kim is now focussing her wealth of talents elsewhere; her drive to succeed has taken her from fashion to television. Keep an eye out for her on the silver screen in the not-so-distant future!


Time to reflect with… Sunisa Kim

Kim reminds herself on a daily basis: “never forget who you are.” She works with low-income families through an after-school program, hoping to help others find their own success.
