Rosalie studied the B&B business for several years while managing a large organization in Washington, DC \(her hometown, incidentally\)\.  For three years, she and Craig, visited Inns for sale up and down the east coast\.  "Each bed and breakfast we looked at had some aspect that we didn't identify with as we wanted to create more of a destination rather than a typical B&B,“ Rosalie explained\.  Finally, the Georges decided to start their own Inn from “scratch”, and after a long search, discovered a 7,000 Sq\. Ft\. property that had been built by a famous World War II General\.  The interior needed extensive renovation, which Rosalie immediately tackled in order to create an elegant, yet warm and welcoming atmosphere\. 

Craig, who had left his job at the Smithsonian and became Director of the famed Hershey Gardens, created a miniature Hershey Gardens at the Inn, including, for example, a stunning rose garden with over 500 roses\.   Annville Inn is one of the only Inns of which we are aware that is set in a botanical garden\. 

Rosalie and many of her chef friends have created a Cooking Class experience for guests who register for the Acclaimed Chef Cooking Class and Dinner during their stay\.  

Rosalie has earned very high ratings for her Inn's breakfasts, and for the fact that the Inn is always very fresh and constantly updated and is sparkling clean and comfortable\.  Her philosophy is:  "The difference between good and great is extra effort to ensure each guest is happy and has an excellent experience\." Over the decade and a half that Rosalie has operated Annville Inn, she has helped other Innkeepers get started in the business, has inspected other Inns, and has trained other Inn professionals\.  

Guests at Annville Inn enjoy the beauty of our Blue Mountain backdrop, the spectacular gardens, the pristine and wonderfully comfortable interior,  exceptional breakfasts, and what others have called "The Rosalie Touch":  Ensuring that every detail is taken care of, and that guests have a first class experience, which explains her very high rate of return visitors, some who have come back to Annville Inn over and over throughout the years\.
