Louise and Michael Cardoza bought the "Poor Farm" back in 2009 and have been steadily building and working on it since\.  After a long career in Music in the Northeast, Louise needed another creative outlet while raising their 3 children\.  Her vision was always the Bed and Breakfast\.  Being travelers, the couple had lots of ideas to add to the decor to the place\.  The farm had many dwellings and out buildings that needed much love and attention so the buildings that weren't too far gone were saved and much love and care went into making everything as original as possible on the outside but filled with a mix of upscale and rustic modern comfort on the inside\. The last to be finished was the farmhouse and the Cardoza's enjoy sitting on their grand wrap around porch most evenings\.  Now, since making Alabama their full\-time home, the couple enjoys their guests, the many animals on the farm and running the business and watching it grow\.
