Bill and Maureen both grew up in the St\. Louis area\. They have also both lived overseas, which gives them a perspective into their guests’ needs, whether those guests hail from near or far\. They have always been passionate about old buildings and have owned several on the historic register or in historic\-designated areas\. Bill’s design/construction firm, Kenrick Design/Construction Services, is located in an adapted grocery store built in the 1930's, a relatively modern building for them\. Currently they have plans under review for an EV charging station\.  Saving old buildings from landfills and reducing carbon via less fuel usage and energy efficiency equipment is a passion for them\.

Bill continues to design and adapt historic projects throughout the City of St\. Louis, St\. Louis County and St\. Charles\. Maureen has entered a new career as innkeeper\. An alum of Nerinx Hall and Webster University, both a short walk from the B & B, in many ways she has returned home\. Her former careers as an elementary teacher, mother of three, and construction firm office manager have taught her the necessary flexibility and patience for inn\-keeping\. Add to that hobbies that include local site seeing, hiking, theater, cooking and the French language and you have a host ready to help tailor your stay\.
