Experience a touch of paradise at the Old Parkdale Inn in Oregon’s Hood River Valley\.  A drive to the Inn through the beautiful Columbia River Gorge is a spectacular one, only 1\.5 hour from Portland, Oregon, the Inn itself being the half way point on the Mt Hood Scenic Byway\.  Now designated an electric byway, we've installed a Tesla and a Clipper Creek charger, added amenities for our guests\.

Old Parkdale Inn sits in the foothills of Oregon’s tallest peak, Mt Hood, in the quaint town of Parkdale, half way between The Mountain and the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area\. Surrounded by fruit orchards we are the perfect base for visiting the Hood River County Fruit Loop, a scenic driving tour with stops at family fruit stands, cideries, wineries and more\.  The Mt Hood National Forest is minutes away with miles and miles of trails and scenic vistas\.

Wake to freshly brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast, prepared with the freshest fruits and vegetables for which the Hood River Valley is famous\. Our guest rooms each have a private bath, queen beds with luxurious bedding, flat screen satellite TV, DVD, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, and there’s free wireless internet throughout\. Our family consists of our Maremma Sheepdog, Lola, and Elsa our cat, who are never allowed in the guests rooms but do live in our home’s common space that we share with our guests\.

The Old Parkdale Inn was built in 1910 and has one standard stairway leading to our three rooms on the second floor\. Some guests with mobility issues may find access challenging\. Our Douglas Fir Suite has a twin size sofa bed and we welcome you to register 1 extra person 12 years or older in this room\. If Doug Fir is available, and depending on the other guests in the house we may allow a child under 12\.
