## About
Many years ago, we quit our careers; sold our home in Massachusetts, along with our vacation home in Vermont and one of our cars, and purchased a large village colonial in Ludlow, Vermont\.  After more than a year of extensive renovations, we opened The Andrie Rose Inn and soon became recognized by Okemo Mountain Resort as being the "Best Inn at Okemo"\.  

We enjoyed being innkeepers for five years, but then returned to our careers and started our family\. Rick was a VP of Human Resources for various privately held and Fortune 500 companies, and Carolyn worked in Human Resources as a Director for privately held companies, after which she established and ran a non\-profit organization\.  Fast forward many years later, our three sons are grown and either in college or early in their careers and we asked ourselves "what do we do now?"  And much to our surprise, we found ourselves returning to innkeeping\!

We knew immediately The Captain Swift Inn was ideal for us, despite being closed for several months and in dire need or repair\.  We kept the Inn closed for an additional eight months while performing significant renovations, and officially opened our doors to guests in February of 2019\.  As the weather warmed we resumed our renovations in the Spring of 2019, spending months finishing decks, patios and installing new landscaping\.  

All along the way, we've met many wonderful guests, which is the best part of innkeeping\!  Our mission is to provide our guests with exceptional lodging and service, and we believe that is evident from the moment you walk through our door\!
