Two beautifully furnished, fully equiped homes on a 172 acre working farm in the Texas Hill Country\.  Scurlock Farms  has one mile of San Gabriel River frontage\.  The romantic cabin, The Palette Pad, was the art studio of one of President Lyndon B\. Johnson's favorite artists, C\. P\. Montague\.  Rocky Overlook, across a ravine, was her home\.  

Guests can experience life on a farm, or use the homes as a beautiful place to get away from it all, or a home base for forays into the Texas Hill Country\.  The river is a five\-minute walk from the homes, or a short drive through the pasture\.  The fishing is great, and kids love playing on the wide limestone banks and looking for fossils\.

Free farm tours are available for all guests, as well as feeding an interacting with the farm animals \- goats, horses, cattle and chickens\.\.
