Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family\-friendly ski resort\. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift\. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches\. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants\. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views\. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option\! SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning\. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake\. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races\.
