Founded in 1749, Old Town Alexandria is Older than the United States, and was founded by Scottish and English settlers\. Its streets, waterfront and stately homes are absolutely beautiful\. Many are also a bit famous\! We have one of America's oldest continuously running farmers Markets in front of city hall just a few blocks away, and gobs of historical sights from early colonial days, the American Revolution, and the Civil War\.  There's always something to do, see,  and of course eat in Old Town\!

Walk only 10 minutes to the King Street Metro and Amtrak\.
