GUEST ACCESS The entire home is exclusively yours during your stay\. This includes the cabin, covered deck, cedar hot tub, fire pit, and cedar shower house\. There is a treehouse on the property that can be added to your booking for up to two additional guests — contact Jackie for details\. If it’s not part of your booking, it will be unoccupied and all amenities remain exclusively yours\. There is an exterior security camera on the property for use when the home is vacant\. It is not monitored during your stay\. Self check\-in via keypad — instructions provided before arrival\. A Rental Agreement is required to be signed before the cancellation period ends\. It will be sent through the booking platform upon reservation\. A trip on the Whatcom Chief Ferry is required to get to the Heron's Nest\. The ferry is operated by Whatcom County, and runs at least every hour between 6\.40am and midnight on weekdays, a little less on weekends\. Round trip fare is $24 for the vehicle and driver and $10 per passenger or for walk\-ons\. Fare is collected during the run to the island by the purser who will come to your vehicle to collect \- credit or debit card only, no cash is accepted\. Walk, bike or drive to the house from the ferry dock and 'downtown' Lummi Island\. We are approximately 3\.5 miles from this area of the island\. 'Downtown Lummi Island' consists of The Islander \- general store, coffee and pastries, wine, beer and alcohol\. Also attached is Sisters Gallery which highlights Island Crafters and Artisans\. The Island Library has books and movies, of course but also an island history section\.
