This cozy 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage was built in 1870 by William Butler Garrett then down to his great grandson, Dr\. William E\. Mitchel\. The property was restored as originally built, log by log, by Garrett's great\-great granddaughter & family\. Logs were marked & moved & restored for the front room, exactly as it stood in 1870, adding the modern amenities\. 

Open floor plan front room features the living room with fireplace \(available beginning Sept 15\) & full furnished kitchen\. Decorated in farmhouse fashion with the modern amenities for todays guests\. Large bedroom has a queen bed\. Full bath with tub/shower combination\. 

Nice large yard with firepit & picnic area overlooking a gorgeous farm setting surrounded by the mountains\. The covered porch is the perfect place to take in the beauty of the area\. 

Close to downtown Bryson City while still being in a private setting with easy access\. Perfect for a couples getaway\.
