The location is also nearby the many downtown DC attractions of the National Mall, US Capitol, White House, and museums, which can be easily accessed by foot, nearby bike or scooter rental via protected bike lanes, public bus stops on the next block, or the DC Metro near the Convention Center\. The southern end of Shaw gives way to high\-end shopping mecca CityCenterDC and the retail\-filled Penn Quarter & Chinatown neighborhood\. The dining and bar scene in Shaw sizzles, with new spots opening up on 7th and 9th Streets and in the neighborhood's quirky, historic alleyways\. Transit: The property is approximately 1 mi from the US Capitol building and DC's Union Station\.
