Get outdoors and take a journey on the Blue Ridge Parkway to discover hiking trails and spectacular waterfalls, walk the shoreline trail at Lake Junaluska \(29 min\.\), or, in the winter, go skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area \(24 min\)\. The ride to Asheville is smooth sailing with all\-paved access to I\-26\. The closest groceries are a 30\-minute drive away in Waynesville, NC, or a 14\-minute drive to the market in Maggie Valley\.
