Explore the picturesque community of Maggie Valley, home to a handful of dining and shopping options \(18 min\.\), visit Waynesville and its revitalized historic Frog Level district \(22 min\.\), drive the Blue Ridge Parkway \(24 min\. to closest entrance\), and spend an evening catching a show at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort \(43 min\.\)\. Take a day trip to Asheville to explore its thriving culinary and art scenes and area attractions such as the Biltmore House and River Arts District\. Outdoor activities in the area include whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and, just 30 minutes away, skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area\.
