Queen bed under the eaves, personal hot tub on the patio, fire pit stocked and ready for the night ahead\. Whitman is part of a small collection of tiny homes — four in all, tucked close together, each with its own private outdoor space and all part of the same little community at Notestone Reserve\. Privacy fencing and planted trees do the work of keeping things quiet and separate\. Most guests stay entirely in their own lane — hot tub, fire pit, patio — and that's exactly how it's designed\. The game room is there when you want it, and easy to ignore when you don't\. Named for Walt Whitman — whose work celebrated the simple fact of being alive and present — it's one of four tiny homes here, each designed for couples or solo travelers who want to unplug without giving up the good stuff\. \~ Outside • Personal hot tub \(striped towels provided\) • Propane grill with tools • Fire pit for s’mores, stargazing, and evening conversations \(firewood on site\) • Cozy seating for two, with blankets for the cooler nights • Privacy fencing and planted trees between homes \~ Inside • Lofted queen bed with crisp linens • Kitchenette stocked with the basics to get you started — salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, foil, and cooking spray\. • Coffee bar: coffee maker, coffee, and tea • Towels for every occasion \(bath, hand, face, makeup, hot tub\) • Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker 🧴 What's Here When You Arrive Every bathroom comes stocked with the good stuff — shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion\. One less thing to remember when you're packing for the weekend\. We provide a starter kit of the essentials — 2 rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a kitchen sponge, and trash liners\. We recommend bringing a little extra just in case\. \~ The Shared Game Room A short walk across the property, and open to every Notestone guest: • 85" Smart TV • Pool table • Foosball • Basketball arcade • Classic arcade machines and a racing game • Legos, card and board games, indoor cornhole • Plus an outdoor playground for the kids \(big and small\) \~️ What's Nearby Notestone Reserve sits in the heart of the Hocking Hills, close enough to hit two or three trails in a day and still be back in time for the fire pit\. Rock House — 7 minutes Conkle's Hollow — 15 minutes Old Man's Cave — 20 minutes Ash Cave — 26 minutes Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, and the rest of the state park system are all within a short drive as well\. \~ About the WiFi We offer Starlink satellite internet\. In general it holds up well — most guests have no trouble streaming movies or music without issue\. That said, satellite internet is a different animal than what you're used to at home\. Video calls and long phone calls can cut out from time to time, especially on cloudy days when the router is working harder to find its signal\. We'd rather tell you upfront than have you find out mid\-Zoom\. If you're planning to work remotely during your stay, it can work — just plan for the occasional hiccup\. \~ A Note on the Setting We're in a wooded area, and while we stay on top of regular pest control, the occasional ladybug or curious spider showing up is just nature doing its thing\. \~ A Few Things to Note We're a small, family\-owned operation, and keeping Notestone calm and well\-kept is a group effort\. A few things we ask: • No parties or events, including bachelor/bachelorette groups\. And no glitter — it never, ever goes away\. • Only registered guests on the property • No smoking, vaping, fireworks, ATVs, hunting, or weapons • No commercial photography or videography without written approval • Hot tub: use the striped towels provided and keep the cover on between soaks • Septic\-safe: flush toilet paper only; no garbage disposal at the sink • Under normal conditions, our driveways are accessible in just about any vehicle\. We are located on back country roads, for that we recommend four wheel drive or all wheel drive during winter months when ice and snow are a factor\. The driveway to Whitman is typically accessible in the winter months without needing a 4WD/AWD vehicle\.
