LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, SHUMONT LAKE, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful.
