BG’s Sandcastle stood at the edge of the Gulf of Mexico and was an incredible home that remained mostly intact even after Hurricane Ike in 2008. A massive category 5 storm ripped away the coastline and forced Galveston to remove many homes to mitigate the cost of future repairs.
