Indian Point Manor was named after the Indian statue at the SW corner of the property overlooking Catfish Lake. The property was originally built by former Chicago Mayor Edward Kelly in 1929. The mayor and his wife carefully and meticulously planned the property to include such items as a projection room for the theater, a two-boat wet boathouse, a great room with 31’ cathedral ceilings, and a carriage house above the garage for his security detail.
