LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, SHUMONT LAKE, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. All cooking and linens/towels provided. Beds were comfortable but living space furniture was not. Grocery store and family dollar store close. Property and house clean and well maintained. Great for a family. Not much privacy inside if staying with others. Low shower pressure and small bathrooms.

Kickback Cabin is so beautiful and comfortable. It was the perfect place to stay in the mountains. The beds and pillows are comfortable and there is a nice outside area and patio with a grill and fire pit. We roasted marshmallows and cooked on the grill while enjoying the majestic view.
