Unit #209 at Kuleana is truly a vacationer's delight. This condo is larger than most of the one-bedroom and one-bathroom condos on the property, making it comfortable and spacious. The location of the condo is super convenient, with easy access to the beach, a heated pool, and BBQ on its open lanai. It also offers a beautiful ocean and pool view and is conveniently situated close to parking and on-site laundry facilities.

The condo is designed with high vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans, allowing for a refreshing sea breeze to flow through the space. It features a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary amenities to cook great meals, should you wish to. The living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa, perfect for lounging around during the day or as an extra sleeping option at night.

The bedroom is perfect for getting a good night's sleep, thanks to the king-size bed and A/C. Guests are also supplied with all the accessories needed to make their Maui vacation incredible, such as beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. You can sit around the kitchen bar, or take in ocean breezes and sunsets on the lanai as you make unforgettable memories.

Kuleana is home to some of the island's most beautiful sites. Guests can enjoy colorful reef fish while snorkeling in the cove, a favorite nesting ground for Green Sea Turtles, or lounge by the pool with their favorite beverage or a book from the free lending library. There are tennis courts of the regulation size that are perfect for outdoor games such as ping pong or shuffleboard. The resort also has access to one of the island's best surfing spots, which is perfect for adrenaline junkies.

Guests can grill outdoors in one of four large barbecue areas, whip up an island feast in their condo kitchen, or go out to one of the many restaurants within minutes of the resort. Kuleana offers guests the perfect combination of relaxation, recreation, and shopping opportunities. There are wonderful shopping options, dining, golf, and activities that are just minutes away in Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua. Unit 209 offers a spacious and comfortable retreat, ideally located near the pool with stunning ocean views, making it perfect for families seeking a relaxing getaway. As always a trip to Maui is always quite, refreshing, comfortable and relaxing.Unit 209 is a great unit, great location & clean close to the  pool and the mighty Pacific all by looking out the patio door.

We had a great 16-night stay at Kuleana 209! Although the unit is slightly dated (kitchen and bathroom could use a refresh), this larger than normal Kuleana 1-bedroom is nicely appointed with great local art, everything needed for the kitchen, beach chairs and beach towels for beach adventures!  Cristina from Destination Maui was great to work with and addressed our few questions promptly.  

We were very happy with this property.  It was a great location & fit our needs very well.  The only down side was the cooler in the bedroom was not sufficient to cool the rest of the condo.

Kuleana Resort was a very nice experience for our family trip to Maui. Hokulani at the front desk was very helpful and sweet to our family and made great suggestions when we had questions. The property is nice and very private, with the added bonus of being on the ocean. Overall the property is well kept! Unit 209 is pretty much as described by other guests. It's clean and has room for a small family to be comfortable...except for that mattress on the pull out sofabed.

This rental had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation for our family of 4.  Appreciated the beach chairs/sun umbrella and cooler for our road trips through maui and beach days (the umbrella was a little temperamental, it is missing a couple pins that hold the frame mechanism, but did the job!) The grounds and views are 10/10.  Seeing the whales in the distance was a daily highlight.  We enjoyed having coffee/breakfast/some lunch and dinners on the outside patio.  Walking down to the shoreline for sunset was our favorite way to end the day.   Kitchen was well equipped for what we needed.  We enjoyed the heated pool very much.  We also used the laundry facilities on property and were happy with them as well.  For a family of 4 we were supplied 4 bath towel/washcloth sets and 4 beach towels, personally would have liked to have 2 per person for a 8 night stay but we made time for laundry.  The unit is a bit dated and some staining along the ceiling (perhaps from water leaks).  The walls could use a good cleaning, some patching and fresh paint.  The unit we shared the wall with is in the process of being renovated and men were working during the daytime hours.  We left most days and were not bothered with them.  The a/c in the bedroom works great if you shut the door and are only cooling the bedroom.    Its not a sufficient unit to cool the entire place.  As long as its cool enough to sleep I’m fine and don’t necessarily need a/c so this worked for us.  Would stay at this resort again, possibly picking a more updated unit.  

DESTINATION MAUI VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT

Booking Rules:
•A credit card is required to guarantee a reservation.  
•As renters, you are responsible for damages caused by you or your guests; these include damages to the unit, items within the unit (including towels and linens), and to common areas. We understand that accidents happen, so please let us know if any occur. 
•If, upon arrival, you notice any damages to your unit, please notify us immediately to avoid possible misunderstandings.

Supplies:
•Your unit is supplied with a starter kit which includes laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, tissues, and toilet tissue. Replace these on your own as you need them.  
•You are not obligated to re-stock the unit with any used items from your starter kit.  
•Your unit is also equipped with sufficient bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, dish towels and wash cloths. 
•For condos without in-unit washer/dryers, please use the laundry facilities on the 3rd and 5th floors to wash these items as needed.

Deposits/Cancellation 
•To confirm your stay, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is due upon booking; and you are given the option to choose between either of the following:
1.$39.99 damage insurance (covering up to $3,000 of accidental damage)
2.$3,000 damage deposit (refunded 7-10 business days after departure) 
•Your initial deposit will act as your cancellation fee if you should cancel before your final payment.  Your final payment will act as your cancellation fee if you should cancel after your final payment. Your final payment is due 60 days (two months) prior to your arrival date.
•We do recommend travel insurance and can offer you options through CSA Travel Protection.  If you are interested, please enquire with us before your final payment is due.
•If a cancellation is made prior or post your final payment, we will do our best to re-book the dates lost.  If we are able, we will issue a credit back to you for each day re-booked, minus a $100 cancellation fee. 

Garage Door Openers (lower level):
•$20.00 Refundable Cash Deposit is collected at check-in and returned at check-out.
Smoking:
•All units are Non-Smoking.  A designated smoking area are available on property.
•Any evidence of smoking within the unit or lanai area will result in charges, the minimum of which is $500.  
•Smoking/vaping/medical cannabis are strictly prohibited on the property except in designated smoking areas.    
Check In/Out:
•Check-In time is after 4:00 PM HST. Check-Out time is before 10:00 AM HST.
•Please remember to check in with front office during business hours.

Early Check In/Late Check Out:
•Due to strict COVID-19 cleaning and sanitation guidelines, we are not able to accommodate these requests. We recommend booking an additional night. Please contact Destination Maui Vacation at in advance for availability and rate.
