LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, SHUMONT LAKE, LAKE LANIER, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. Lovely place, beautiful A frame on a nice creek. It's not the most modern up to date place but you're getting a nice, comfy cabin. Plenty of parking. The only thing I'll say is that there are 6 bedrooms but one of them is not fully enclosed and directly faces the other with twin beds, and you have to walk through this room to teach the other.
