Located on the North Shore of Kauai in Princeville, Ka Mea Nui is surrounded by lush tropical landscapes overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the 15th hole of the Makai golf course. The verdant golf course is a favorite playground for endangered nene (Hawaiian geese) and a nesting area for the majestic albatross.  Nearby attractions, including stunning beaches, hiking trails, and quaint local towns, ensure that every day holds new adventures.

Ka Mea Nui presents a spacious and tastefully designed interior, ensuring your comfort and relaxation throughout your stay. The elegantly furnished living spaces exude a charming Hawaiian ambiance complemented by custom curated artwork and decor by digital artist Sunny Tien, creating the perfect setting to unwind after a day of island exploration. The property features modern amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, high-speed internet, and air conditioning, providing everything you need for a convenient and enjoyable stay.

Upstairs, you'll find one bedroom, one bathroom, a living area and kitchenette, with a lovely comfortably furnished and shaded lanai.  A king bed graces the bedroom with its vaulted ceiling and many windows.  If it's a working vacation, there's free wifi and the bedroom desk is equipped with USB charging ports plus boasts a lovely view.  The living/dining/kitchenette area is furnished with a large 50" television and comfortable sofa that opens into two extra long twin beds if your party includes a child.  Kitchenette includes a toaster, blender, hot plate, and toaster oven.  You'll even find a washer and dryer for your convenience.  The bathroom is spacious with a decadent tub perfect for a sunset soak after a day at the beach.  

Downstairs on the main level, sleep cool and comfortable in the air-conditioned bedroom with king bed.  While the tradewinds blow almost constantly, bringing fresh ocean breezes through the home, and air conditioning is generally not necessary, AC is available in the downstairs bedroom for those who want to enjoy it.  The living area offers a cozy atmosphere for relaxation and entertainment, equipped with plush seating and another large flat-screen TV with cable. Twin size daybed gives you the option to sleep an extra person…or a comfy spot to read a good book and enjoy the ocean view  The adjacent dining area seats six and provides a perfect space to enjoy meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances and ample counter space.  A second washer and dryer are located downstairs.

Step outside onto the large ground level lanai, where you can savor your morning coffee in the gentle island breeze while enjoying an unobstructed ocean view across the 15th hole of the Makai golf course.  Just a few steps away, you can enjoy a cooling dip in the shared swimming pool.

The beautiful white sands and tranquil waters of north shore Anini Beach are just a few minutes drive.  A brief three minute drive takes you to the Princeville center where you can pick up groceries at Foodland, enjoy a macadamia nut ice cream cone at Lappert's, relax in the bar and grill atmosphere of Tiki Iniki, and explore the other shopping and dining options.  The charming town of Hanalei, and its world renowned beach, is a 10 minute drive.  You'll find many charming shops, galleries, and restaurants in Hanalei.  And you've got to find some time to kayak or paddle board on the Hanalei River.  With its prime location and well-appointed accommodations, Kamahana is the perfect choice for those seeking an unforgettable Kauai vacation rental.

Fabukous time in this beautifully appointed apartment. We appreciated the calibre of the cookingware and the organic bathroom essentials. A dedicated nod to wellness. Definitely would recommend taking the downstairs and upstairs apartments otherwise it could spoil the peace downstairs. Loved seeing the Albatross nesting and the view is etched in my mind forever. Lovely community and surrounds in Princeville and close to Hanalei and Kiluea which we loved. Bubba's burgers were the best and the healthy hut we dream about now we're back home!

Your booking deposit - consisting of 25% of the total cost of your rental and 100% of trip insurance (if selected) - will be charged at the time you reserve. Reservations cancelled for non-receipt of contract are liable for all applicable cancellation penalties, as outlined below. If your reservation begins in the next 14 days, you must cancel within 48 hours of reservation to avoid cancellation fees. PAYMENT: Full/balance payment is due no later than 60 days prior to check-in. Reservations not paid in full by the final balance due date shall be subject to cancellation and forfeiture of funds. If a reservation is made within 65 days of the reservation check-in date, full payment is required at time of reservation.

CANCELLATION/REFUNDS: For reservations cancelled 61 or more days prior to your contracted check-in date, you will receive a full refund of all money paid. For reservations cancelled 60 or fewer days prior to arrival, no refund will be made. Any unused portions of the contracted reservation dates are non-refundable. Any interruption of services within the property, or inclement weather during your stay, will not serve to void or cancel the rental agreement.

The premises shall be used for residential vacation rental purposes only. Special events such as parties, receptions, etc. shall not be allowed without the express written consent of Agent. ____CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIMES: Thank you for respecting our posted 3pm check-in time and 10am check-out time.  Scheduled services, as well as housekeeping, are planned in advance around these times and we may need to charge $50/hour for unauthorized early arrival or late departure.     

____ LOST KEYS and PARKING PASSES: I understand that there is a $75 replacement charge for a lost (or unreturned) pool key, a lost (or unreturned) door key, and a lost (or unreturned) parking pass. (Note: not all properties will have a door key, if they are equipped with a keyless entry system. There are no pool keys at our private homes.) The fee for a lost (or unreturned) garage door opener is $150. Because the next guest will require keys, opener, and parking pass, you will not be able to avoid the replacement charge by mailing the items back to us. Renters at Villas of Kamalii please note that the pool key replacement charge is $150 at that location. Please note that a $75 charge will also apply for keys that have been locked in the unit instead of being placed back in the lockbox at checkout.

____ CONDITION OF PREMISES: The property and contents are privately owned. The Property is rented with Owner's furnishings and Rental Agent will not be responsible for providing additional furnishings or equipment. No items belonging to the Owner shall be removed from the property. Should any equipment be out of order (including but not limited to hot tubs, washing machine), Rental Agent will undertake reasonable efforts to remediate reported problems during normal business hours. Please keep in mind that being on a remote island can often delay the receiving of parts and repairs. There will be no refunds for such inconvenience. Guest authorizes Rental Agent or property Owner to repair damages or loses caused by Guest or invitees of Guest, at the expense of Guest. Guests are required to notify us of any defects or problems associated with the property IMMEDIATELY, including but not limited to, appliances, audio/visual equipment, furnishings, hot tubs, jacuzzis, and pools, etc.

      Please be careful with items that you put down the garbage disposal. At home you might be able to put skins or vegetable leaves down your disposal but the one in your rental may stop up. We ask that you be very cautious.
      Also, please do not turn the dial on the refrigerator colder than the recommended setting. Doing so will cause the appliance to shut down. If you stop up the disposal or cause the refrigerator to stop working, we will need to charge you for the service call. 
      Do not move furniture. It may cause damage, and this damage will NOT be covered by your damage waiver.

____ ACCESS TO PREMISES: Owner or Rental Agent may enter premises for the following reasons: Assessing damages or malfunctions, to perform repairs and/or maintenance, to supply services agreed upon, including but not limited to, pest control, if the unit is for sale (we will provide 2 days notice to show the unit at a reasonable hour), or in case of emergency. We reserve the right to enter the property any time for the purpose of safekeeping and/or prevention of further damage. 

____ NEIGHBORHOOD CONSTRUCTION: We are not responsible for any construction noise or inconvenience that may occur during your stay. No refunds will be given.

____ SMOKING: All properties are smoke-free. Guests may smoke outside in specially designated areas only. Please dispose of all smoking materials appropriately and do not discard on the grounds.  Smoking indoors or on the lanai will result in a minimum $250 additional charge for smoke mitigation.

____ PETS: Pets are not allowed in the home or on the property. 

____  CLEANING: The cleaning fee is mandatory and non-refundable. Mid-stay cleaning(s) may be required for extended rental periods at Guests expense. Maid service is not included. If you would like additional maid service, it may be arranged for an additional cost. Cleaning fees are subject to change. The cleaning fee covers laundering one set of sheets per bed and one set of towels per guest. You are welcome the use the fresh sheets/towels available, but please launder and replace the used ones or you may be assessed an excess laundry fee of $35/load. 

____ SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Advertised amenities are subject to change without notice or compensation. Changes can occur after a reservation is made due to a sale of unit, remodeling, mechanical failure, or servicing. Should a property be made unavailable for any reason beyond the control of Rental Agent, Rental Agent may substitute (at their discretion) another property comparable or better. If the substitute is of lesser value, refunds may be made. If no other property is available, the limit of liability by property Owner or Rental Agent is to refund any pre-paid rents that have been paid by the registered Guest. 

____ HAWAII TAXES: If tax rates should change after reservation is made, the new tax rate will be passed on to existing customers.

 
____ CONSENT TO TEXT: I consent to Kauai Kahuna Vacation Rentals contacting me by text message for the purpose of providing information, such as arrival instructions, relevant to my rental.


Signing this agreement constitutes a contract, namely:

1) Acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, procedures and addendums detailed therein.

2) Acceptance of full financial responsibility for late departure, any loss of inventory, excessive housekeeping, damage or repairs due to abuse or neglect of the property occurring within the duration of your stay.

3) Acceptance of full responsibility and liability for all guests or visitors at the property during your stay.
