"Serenity" Vistas (unit 1B at the Buttonwood Reserve Oceanfront Condominium Resort) is a bottom-floor unit, that includes a full-surround two-ocean view, facing west over the Caribbean for the sunset and east to the Atlantic for the sunrise.  Enjoy stunning ocean views from every room through eight-foot glass sliders and six-foot bay windows.  The expansive private decks also feature spectacular sea views in every direction. 

Buttonwood Reserve has access to two beaches. On the Atlantic side is a world-class, 3-mile-long pink-sand beach, pristine without a single house.  It is accessed via our private, golf-carts only driveway. All condominiums at Buttonwood come with access to a fleet of golf carts at no charge. On the Caribbean side of our property, almost in your front yard, is a second beach. This beach is small and rather rocky, so not so aesthetic, but the water is as calm as a lake and this shore is perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing.

Buttonwood Reserve comes with kayaks and a paddle board for use on the sea or in our pond.  Bicycles are also provided for riding around the property or to town, less than a mile away. Our retired groundskeeper, Patrick, is an expert fisherman and will take you out fishing in his boat for a half day or full day (extra charges apply.) Grill your catch fresh on our outdoor gas grill near the pool.

Buttonwood Reserve is a 10 minute walk from three restaurants:  Delish, Leorose Sunset Beach Bar and Grill, and Mel's Snack Shack.

Just a mile from Buttonwood Reserve is the village of James Cistern, which has three grocery stores, a town dock where the fisherman bring their catch every day, a produce stand, and Kel D's sports bar.  James Cistern is also the home of Stubb’s famous barbecue, now called Tamarind Tree Grill, every Friday and Saturday, which is not to be missed.

Buttonwood Reserve is an easy 15-minute drive from Governor’s Harbour, the main town on the island. Governor’s Harbour has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor.

This charming hillside home is located in Rainbow Bay, directly across from the beautiful & secluded Rainbow Bay beach, Eleuthera. This private and fully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is situated on 1/3 acre of land surrounded by lush and mature island vegetation with beautiful sea views from the large verandah. Key Lime Cottage is ideal for families, couples and honeymooners, and is situated literally across the small road (a minute's walk) from Rainbow Bay's private beach. The beach itself offers sparkling white sand and crystal clear azure waters perfect for shelling, snorkeling and fishing and is a naturally protected cove. Convenient picnic benches, secluded tiki huts on the beach are included as part of the rental. Rainbow Bay also has a private tennis court.

Rainbow Bay offers one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. From the above pictures you can see a small peninsula which juts out into the Caribbean. It is home to many of the island's tropical fish and rays. If you are a snorkeler, you will not be disappointed. From Key Lime cottage, you also have easy access to the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

It is just a mile to the acclaimed Rainbow Inn, which offers some of the best food on the island and live music many evenings. The nearest market for supplies is located just a few minutes away by car if you choose to cook at home in the fully-equipped kitchen. There is also now an organic vegetable farm five minutes to the north from the villa.

Centrally located on Eleuthera, Key Lime cottage is the is the perfect location for exploring the whole island north to south, from Harbor Island to Lighthouse Point, 100 miles of beaches, beauty and history. It is only 15 minutes from Governor's Harbor airport and 25 minutes from Governor's Harbor.

Eleuthera is a very friendly and safe island. It is a beautiful, relaxed destination with turquoise seas, and beautiful sunny weather. Once you come, you will definitely want to return.

Friday Night Fish Fry in the Harbour is a street/beach party that brings all of the tourists and locals together with food, drinks, and dancing in the street. Something not to be missed… and you can walk.

Governors Harbour also has a beach on the harbor which you can see from the front of the house, and which you can walk to in two minutes.

There is also a sitting room with a walk out to the private back terrace. The terrace includes an outdoor eating area, lounge chairs, and an outdoor shower. A wonderful space for garden parties with night lighting and beautiful tropical flowers.

The stunning modern kitchen with an oversized island comes completely equipped, and features open shelving and plenty of counter space.

There is a full bath located on the main floor off the kitchen, which has a walk-in shower.

The second floor features 3 large bedrooms and a library which overlooks the Harbour.

There is no range or oven in the kitchenette.

Designed by the renowned architect, Ray Nathaniels, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, this asymmetrical home was custom built in an architectural style specific to its environment.  Trident House consists of a four-bedroom, four and a half-bath main house.  Trident House has just been completely remodeled.

Trident House has 450 feet of glorious private beachfront on pink-sand Poponi Beach, ranked one of the best beaches in the Bahamas.  Situated on 3 private acres of lush tropical gardens, Trident has plenty of seclusion and everything you need for an idyllic vacation.  You will usually have the beach to yourself at this private location, and yet a great restaurant and bar (Unique Resort, which has a excellent new chef) is a 3-minute walk down the beach from the property.

Unique Village restaurant and bar is a 3-minute walk down the beach from Trident Estate.  La Bougainvillea Resort with its excellent restaurant and bar is a 15-minute walk down the beach.

The town of Palmetto Point is just half a mile away, a one-minute drive or a ten-minute walk. Tippy’s beachfront restaurant is a 5-minute drive. A ten-minute drive takes you into Governors Harbor, the main town on the island. Governors Harbor has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster most afternoons from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. This beautifully renovated and modernized Bahamian home retains its original grounds and garden, while enjoying modern comforts and conveniences. Driftwood sits on a hill with views of the ocean from the large upstairs master bedroom.  A 5-minute walk down the hill takes you to the world renowned French Leave beach (formerly Club Med), while a 10 minute walk in the other direction takes you to the restaurants and shops in the village of Governor’s Harbour.  

To enter the villa from the front, you pass the 10’x30’ private pool, up the stairs, and onto an expansive porch that overlooks the landscaped grounds and ocean beyond.   At the front door you enter the open plan dining hall, with large windows in front and back to welcome the cooling trade winds and sounds of the ocean.  The interior is light and bright, with white walls, tiled floors and wood ceilings. To the right is the open plan family room and fully equipped modern kitchen with granite countertops, gas cooktop, and stainless steel appliances.  

To the left of the dining hall are two large bedrooms.  The first is a large guest/children’s bedroom with twin beds (that convert to a king), a closet, and its own bath right across the hall.  The second is the downstairs master bedroom suite with ensuite bath (bathtub and shower), two closets and a king bed. Both bedrooms access a private patio for enjoying the sights and sounds of nature in the morning sunlight.  

The upstairs master bedroom suite is accessed from the stairway in the hall.   It has a large balcony overlooking the grounds and ocean beyond, a large bath with double sinks, and a large walk-in closet and king bed.  There’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy a good book or afternoon nap.  

In addition to the 3 large bedrooms in the main part of the house, Driftwood has a separate, open plan studio with bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, closet and complete kitchen. The main entrance is from another private patio at the north end of the house; the second is a level entrance into the kitchen from the back garden.  In addition, the studio bath has a low threshold shower for handicapped access. The main part of the house and the one bedroom studio are joined at the shared laundry room, equipped with large washer and dryer.  The studio can be locked off from the rest of the house. 

The back patio and garden area are accessed from the dining hall or the studio kitchen.  It is private, protected from strong winds and enjoys afternoon sunlight, perfect for outdoor grilling.  After a day on the beach, enjoy a dip in the pool and drinks on the front porch.  Driftwood is beautifully landscaped with tropical flowers, palm trees, and fruit and nut trees. 

Driftwood is just a short walk from town and nearby dining including the Buccaneer Club and Da Perk. Windsong is an elegant 5-acre estate with 400 feet of private pink-sand beachfront on beautiful Double Bay.  Windsong enjoys beach and ocean views from every major room.  This luxurious property is appointed with custom furnishings, antiques, and critically acclaimed artwork.Enter Windsong through the Bahama Room, a spacious glass-enclosed sun porch overlooking the gardens and furnished with a sofa, chairs, and a breakfast table.  Walk through the Bahama Room into the large living room with its 15 foot ceilings and wall of glass overlooking the grand patio, beach, and ocean.  Large sliding doors open to admit the ocean breeze.  The grand patio includes a large covered porch with a wicker lounge set and a separate breakfast table.  Beyond is a bow-fronted open patio with loungers for sunbathing and enjoying the ocean view. A side door opens to a private outdoor shower.To the left of the living room is the formal dining room with wall of glass overlooking the beach and ocean.  The dining room has seating for 12.  Large sliding glass doors can be opened to admit the breeze.  Adjacent to the dining room is the modern kitchen done in retro style with gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave.  This wing of the estate also houses a TV room/office which serves as the second bedroom of the Main House.  It's furnished with a flat-screen satellite TV, desk, day bed, and chairs.Beside the main house are two charming guest cottages.  The first, with a commanding ocean view and a high tray ceiling, has large sliders out to a porch overlooking the ocean.  It's furnished with a king bed.  The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a large walk-in shower with dual heads.  The second guest cottage is furnished with a king bed plus a day bed and a trundle bed.  It's equipped with a kitchenette (refrigerator, sink, toaster oven, coffee maker) and a full bath.  Each guest cottage has a private outdoor shower.  IF YOU DON'T USE THE GUESTS HOUSES, WE WILL NOT RENT THEM TO ANYONE ELSE.  YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE ESTATE TO YOURSELF.The beach in front of the house is spectacular:  wide, pristine, pink sand, two miles long and usually deserted.  The large beachfront palapa, furnished with chairs and loungers, is a perfect spot to gather for a beverage.  Or relax in the one of the two hammocks strung in the palm groves.  There are coral reefs and a large cay offshore for snorkeling and exploring.  The estate comes with two sea kayaks.Windsong House is fully air conditioned.  Indoor amenities include super-fast Starlink internet, satellite TV, DVD player, yoga mats, hand weights, and board games.  There is a gas grill and an outdoor dining area for cookouts.  Windsong is equipped with everything you need to enjoy its beautiful beach, including beach chairs, boogie boards, and kayaks.  There is also a back-up generator.Windsong House is just 5 minutes from Palmetto Point which has a general store, a restaurant, and other businesses.  10 minutes beyond is the island's capital, Governors Harbour.  Governors Harbour has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
