This helps us to avoid unauthorized events / parties. Our goal is for our guests and neighbors to both have an enjoyable experience!

The house is centrally located in a wonderful lively area with constant foot traffic, great restaurants, etc. The primary bedroom faces the street. If you are an especially light sleeper, or value quiet over location, we may not be a good fit for you. We provide ear plugs and white noise machines for your comfort.

Please note that this is a row house with a separate basement level unit so you may see us / others staying in the lower level unit.

The house is a historic DC rowhome that is over 130 years old (built in the 1890s!). We try to preserve as much history/character of the house including the original pine wood floors, which means that some of the floors are squeaky.

Most of the bedrooms are on the smaller side (except the primary room), ranging from 70 - 80 sq ft. When the trundle beds are pulled out for use, the beds will take up the majority of those rooms. For this reason, we have foldable/collapsible side tables, desks, and chairs which are stored in each room's closet for maximum flexibility.

We have restored and preserved many original items throughout the house - given this, there are several delicate items such as stained glass windows, glass French doors, fireplace mantels, huge pocket doors, antique built-in bookcase, wooden window shutters, etc. - we ask that you please take care to preserve the unique history of this historic DC rowhome while you enjoy your stay in DC!

The primary bedroom upstairs tends to be on the warmer/cooler side during the summer/winter (as it has the most windows). In addition to closing the window shutters and using the ceiling fan, we also provide a large portable air conditioner/heater and large portable fan in the closet, to help circulate air in this room.

The parking pad in the back can typically accommodate up to a mid-size SUV / Minivan. Part of the parking pad is underneath the deck posts, which can accommodate a vehicle that is 83 inches wide and 79 inches high.
If you're vehicle does not fit in the parking pad space, there is usually street parking available in the area. Pay attention to all parking signs to avoid tickets!
If you'll have more than one vehicle, there are several paid parking lots 5-7 mins walking distance from the place.

While you have everything you need right at home, Dupont Circles central location puts you just steps from everything this amazing city has to offer.

To the Northeast are the Adams Morgan and U street corridor nightlife. To the Southeast, downtown DC. Head west and you're in historic Georgetown. Theres something to do in every direction when you live in a Dupont Circle Apartment!

Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.

Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.

What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.

This modern street level, 2 bathroom 2nd floor walk up apartment was fully renovated in 2015 leaving original architectural details of this Victorian era row home like hardwood floors and exposed brick walls. The bedrooms each have a queen bed and en suite bathrooms making this an ideal situation for privacy. Walk out the door and start your journey down the hip Logan's Circle restaurant row with endless choices in decadent food and eclectic shopping. Don't forget to stop at Ms. Pixies!

Stretching from the Potomac River to the western edge of Georgetown, Foggy Bottom takes its name from the fog that naturally lingers here. This is a brand-new, first-floor micro-studio facing Connecticut Ave NW. The desk sits with a comfortable chair and lamp under the large window and overlooks all the people heading to the zoo which is just 2 blocks away. The unit has everything you'll need. Enjoy some time watching your favorite movies on the Smart TV with netflix and Hulu logged in and ready for you.

The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances and more. There’s a gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, disposal, and a Keurig Coffee Maker. The kitchen also has cooking items including pots and pans, a baking tray, and cooking utensils. There are knives, a cutting board, a strainer, and mixing bowls. There are 4 sets of plates, glasses, mugs, bowls, and flatware. 

In the closet, there is a vacuum, broom, swiffer, and ironing board. Use the closet and dresser for all your personal belongings.

Transit:
- Metro (Woodley Park Zoo / red line), a few hundred feet away, unlocks the city.
- Rock Creek Parkway is a few blocks away, which means a fast and scenic drive to the monuments, US Capitol and Northern Virginia (DCA Airport, National Landing) and fantastic access to the trails and nature of Rock Creek Park itself.
- Connecticut Avenue is a prestigious corridor through the wealthiest neighborhoods of DC linking downtown to Bethesda Maryland.
- Parking is on the street in the neighborhood around the building. We can help you apply for a parking permit.

We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:

1) Our properties are protected by Truvi.   Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.

2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests.  A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund. 

For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces.  Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.

Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.

What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest. 

* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets, there is a one time, non refundable pet fee if $450.

4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged. 

5) There is one on-site parking space available for purchase on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.

6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.

7) There is shared app or coin operated laundry on each floor.

Our 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom Capitol Hill home is great for small groups on business trips and longer stays. This spacious abode provides a mix of convenience and privacy. 

- Kitchen: Fully equipped for cooking enthusiasts, has everything you need including modern appliances, cookware, and plenty of space to whip up your favorite meals.

- Bedrooms: Rooms are furnished with either a king, queen or single bed, ample windows and dressers for clothing storage. Sink into the high quality linens for a restful stay. The rooms rooms are enhanced with blackout curtains, excellent for unwinding, undisturbed.

- Living area: Natural light from the windows enhance the classic decor open living space. 

- Laundry: Washer and dryer conveniently located in the home so you can spend more time resting. 

- Bathrooms: 3.5 and stocked with fresh towels and essential toiletries have been designed for comfort and style. The full bathroom includes a tub and shower combination while the half bath is detailed with patterned floor.  All Sojourn properties are stocked our preferred Lather products, ensuring you begin your stay fresh.

Pet Policy
Most of our residences are pet-friendly and welcome your four-legged companions. Pet fees are usually included in the booking, but if not, you’ll be invoiced the pet fee. Please let us know if you’re bringing pets so we can update your reservation. Note that some homes are not pet-friendly—if yours isn’t, we’ll gladly recommend one that is.
