When staying at The Cabana you are welcome to use the beach walk over to Lake Michigan but you will not have access to the pool or other amenities.

From time to time you may see the Northern Lights! There are no lights at the beach to distract from the full majesty of the star lit night sky.

This air conditioned dream has a queen bed in the main room and a separate bathroom (shower only). The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with a mini-fridge, stove top, all appliances and cookware, utensils, dishes, glassware and silverware. Linens and towels provided; you need only bring your personal effects and beach towels! New flat screen TV with cable TV and free Wi-Fi, too.

Enjoy coffee on the patio in the morning and wave to the kayakers making their way down the river while planning your day. Will you join them or pack a picnic for a leisurely day on the shore of Lake Michigan? You could take the M-22 tour and visit our sister communities of Empire, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Northport, Omena & Suttons Bay. All have their distinct charm with much to recommend them. Winery tours are an excellent way of seeing the county and sampling 'the grape' of some astonishing vintners. The Heritage Trail beckons with its 16 miles of paved hiking/biking/cross country skiing trails and you are minutes from the Dune Climb and Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive with breathtaking vistas and welcoming picnic areas. Traverse City is only 25 minutes due east for a more 'cosmopolitan' experience but still with a northern Michigan vibe. And from gourmet to casual dining, there is something to tempt anyone's palate in Leelanau and Grand Traverse counties!

Go horseback riding, rent a boat on Big Glen lake, charter a fishing boat in the hunt for wild salmon, hike countless trails, pick some fresh cherries or blueberries, visit local farmer's markets, take in some live entertainment, try your luck at the casino, take in a movie at one of the last drive-ins in the country, visit the Manitou Islands via ferry, attend a local festival...the list goes on and on. Waterview at Tall Timbers is a two bedroom one bath condo at The Homestead, Michigan's Fresh Water Resort. This unit has a fully stocked kitchen with all of the necessities of home, including free Wi-Fi. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting on the balcony and taking in the spectacular views of the river and Lake Michigan. While guests do not have access to the pool and other amenities, you can grab your beach towels and head to the beach. As you can see from the pictures, this unit is in close proximity to the bridge that leads to the wonderful Lake Michigan beach. All linens and towels are provided, but you may want to bring beach towels as they are not offered. The Homestead is less than 5 minutes to the Village of Glen Arbor where you can enjoy our shops and eateries. Rent a bike for the day and go exploring, rent a kayak and enjoy the Crystal River, or venture on over to The Sleeping Bear Dunes, a national treasure! If golf is your pleasure there are many courses within a twenty minute drive of the resort.

Welcome to “After Dune Delight,” a newly renovated Crystal Riverfront cottage nestled in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes. 5 bedrooms & 2.5 bath with two open-concept kitchens, indoor and outdoor dining areas, fireplaces, hot tub and five kayaks provided for guest use, this home is designed for comfort, connection, and adventure. It’s just a short float or walk to Lake Michigan or downtown Glen Arbor—ideal for families and friends seeking a memorable Northern Michigan escape.

We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $250 per stay. A maximum of 2 dogs 50 lbs each are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so that we may get your pet amenities prepared for your arrival. We try our best to keep hair and allergens away, but guests with dog sensitivities should be aware. Please use our provided sofa cover and 'retired' towels for your fur friends. Booking guests will be responsible for any pet damage. 

Please Note: Quiet hours begin at 10pm, and no unauthorized parties are allowed to ensure a peaceful neighborhood setting.

Five bedrooms, a Pack and Play, and one queen sofa bed in the living room (upstairs) mean this home can comfortably accommodate up to 13 adults and/or an infant, a rare commodity in the middle of Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore.

The cottage includes two full bathrooms and one half bath, each featuring high-quality amenities for your comfort.

~~ TWO KITCHENS  ~~
Each level includes a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an Insta-pot, blender, crock pot, and coffee station. Families will appreciate kids’ utensils, bowls, and a highchair, plus basic pet supplies for your furry friends.

~~ DINNING ROOMS~~
Gather indoors or dine outside in the covered porch with a large dining table and picnic seating. Each kitchen includes an island with bar seating—plenty of room for group meals or cozy morning coffee overlooking the river.

~~ LIVING ROOM ~~
Two inviting living areas feature plush furnishings and Smart TVs with streaming apps (log in with your own accounts). Whether curling up by the fireplace or playing games with family, this home makes it easy to relax.

~~ OUTDOOR SPACES ~~
Step outside to the veranda or backyard and unwind in Adirondack chairs by the river or around the outdoor fire pit. The dock extends into Crystal River, offering a serene spot for morning coffee or sunset views.

Our cottage is right on Crystal River, a short distance from Lake Michigan. The property is shaded with trees and often there is a nice breeze blowing. AC is provided by the 5 minisplit units in the property, they are in all 4 bedrooms and 1 in the main living space upstairs. Each bedroom also features a ceiling fan, with the exception of the loft. 

Hot Tub Access: The hot tub is available for guest use—please enjoy it responsibly and at your own risk. All posted rules must be followed at all times. Failure to follow hot tub guidelines that results in misuse requiring draining, cleaning, and refilling will incur a $325 service fee.

- Check-in/out: Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. We are happy to allow for an early check-in or late check-out if our cleaning team is able to accommodate the request and still allow the rental to be cleaned to our quality standards and specifications. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $250.00 additional fee for this expedited service.  We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee of $100.00, please contact us for further information.

- Longer stays: Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as the fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee. 

- Security deposit: Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $1500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days within check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.

- Cancellations: Please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. Please note that even if you are eligible for a full refund, a credit card processing fee will be deducted.
