The Cabin in the Meadow is one of four cabins, situated and landscaped for privacy, scattered about our 20 acre property. It is the easiest to get to, just a few dozen feet from the public country road, and within walking distance to our pond. You will see evergreen trees surrounding the yard and, especially in winter, and the wooded hills beyond. Depending on recent rainfall, you may hear Clear Creek, which is accessible further down across the public road. 

The Cabin in the Meadow  consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen area with a dining counter plus a covered porch with rocking chairs, a hot tub, and a dining table. It is approximately 690 sq. ft. including the covered porch. The cabin has a gas log fireplace, air conditioning, smart TV with DVD player, wifi, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee-maker. Linens, dishes, and kitchen utensils are provided. The cabin has a propane BBQ grill (propane is provided). The cabin is well prepared for the rare power outage, with a gas log fireplace for heat and a gas stove for cooking. There is a fire pit safely located near the pond on the unwooded portion of the property.

 -  The Chimney Rock and Lake Lure areas are 15-20 minutes away in the opposite direction.
 - Asheville, Flat Rock, and other mountain towns are 45-60 minutes away.

It is just inside the edge of the wooded portion of our 20 acre property. This allows for both a view from the covered porch and privacy afforded by the trees. There are woods behind the Cabin on the Hill for miles (not all ours!).

It is one of our more secluded cabins, being located on the wooded portion of our 20 acre property. You will see trees on all sides. You may glimpse a small part of another cabin, but there are no other buildings within sight. In the winter when the leaves are off the trees, you can see the local mountains through the bare trees. There are woods behind the Cabin in the Woods for miles (not all ours!).

The Cabin in the Woods consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen area and dining area plus a covered porch with rocking chairs, a hot tub, and a dining table. (Look for the sign.) It goes up in the woods and comes out next to the Cabin on the Hill where you can walk the property roads back to your cabin.

LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer.  LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available.  BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive.  Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open!
